EGAC - Free Agent Sign-Ups

Just 3 more days for EGAC Free Agent Sign-Ups to happen...
The full schedule for the second week is online as well:

SAT 3pm EST: Mogul - Panda
SAT 4:30pm EST: TEAM FAT - Heartless
SUN 3pm EST: Elite Cats - Boltz

TEAM FAT vs. Heartless stands out of course... This is also how the EGAC final will look I guess. We'll see, I'm too tired to analyze anything as of now :)

First EGAC game finished

First EGAC game finished

Just a couple of hours after the first ever EGAC game the forum is still quiet - which is the best sign of success!

The arena was maxed out at 40 when Heartless and Boltz played in #egac. Unfortunately Boltz had a very bad showup and barely managed to get 6 eligible players. However Heartless basically had all of their key players.

Heartless stormed right away and won Base 1 in less than 2 minutes by using the multiple choice-choke point. It almost seemed like Boltz never played that base as they took the longest way possible.
Boltz tied one base and won another one, but Heartless seemed to be the winning team during the whole game.
The game was decided when Base 5 was played. Boltz lost 2 choke points at once so their anchor did not backup far enough. Heartles nailed them right near the flagroom of the base.

Base 6 wasn't even played after Heartless denied Boltz NTS (No Team Subs) because they did not have 6 eligible players anymore. Considering that Boltz was the clear underdog anyway they still did a good job.

2b3 asked me to do be this week's guest predictor so you can also find my predictions, along with a list of key players and the final score I predicted, on the main page.

EGAC starting this weekend

Extreme Games Assault Cup (EGAC)

And so EGAC is finally starting this weekend - with the usual squad scheduling problems that every other EG league already dealt with ;)

Today I had some time to check the Rosters of all EGAC teams. Although I wouldn't have expected that many well-known names on the list, I'm also missing many RisinBlood and former Impurity (or Zen) players. However especially Risin players never did too good in any off-squad team competition, let's say for example EG Draft League 1 and 2.

I also read that EGAC will have a strict timelimit per base : 6 minutes on attack and 6 minutes on defense. So the max. possible game time is (6 bases) * (6 minutes) * (1 attack shift + 1 defense shift) which means every game will be max. 72 minutes.

There will be 3 games every weekend. As the max. team size is 18 there is a good chance that everybody who wants to watch the games also gets to watch them. Let's see how this works out... Personally I think all games will be close if the right people show up :)
